Why I built this. And why it took losing everything to find it.
I know what it feels like to have your body betray you.
For years, I performed at the highest level. Professional football. Turkish National Team. My body was my career, my identity, my whole world. And then one injury took it all away.
What nobody tells you about that kind of loss is what it does to your nervous system. Suddenly the thing that defined you is gone. The structure, the purpose, the daily rhythm. And your body, which was trained to perform under pressure, does not know how to stop. It just keeps running. On high alert. Waiting for the next threat.
I tried to push through. That is what athletes do. But pushing through a dysregulated nervous system is not strength. I learned that the hard way. The anxiety, the sleeplessness, the feeling of being completely disconnected from myself.
The wellness world did not help. Meditation apps told me to “just breathe.” Influencers told me to take bubble baths. Therapists helped me understand my feelings, but the physical sensation of dread never left. Nobody was talking about the body.
So I went looking. I studied the science behind the stress response. The vagus nerve. Somatic work. What actually happens in the body when it is stuck in fight-or-flight. And slowly, through a lot of trial and error, I found what worked. I tested it on myself first. Then I started sharing it with others.
The results were not subtle. People who had not slept properly in years started sleeping. Women who described themselves as “just anxious people” realized they were not anxious by nature. They were stuck in a physiological pattern. And that pattern could be changed.
If you have tried everything and still feel like something is wrong with you — nothing is wrong with you. Your body learned a pattern. And patterns can be unlearned. That is what we do here.
